Connector for Parkside (Battery) Soldering iron

I bought this re-chargeable (4V) soldering iron (model PLKA 4 B3) a few years ago but I've lost the charger, and most importantly, the lead with the very special plug on the end. It seems like this connector is used on many Parkside tools; my 12V drill has exactly the same.

I suspect they will be hard to find to buy, but if anyone has any ideas, or if anyone has got one which is spare, I be very pleased to hear about it.

I took the picture and then forgot to post it - very forgetful these days. It's comparable to a usb, but I didn't think it actually was one.

However, I have now found one USB lead which fits, and that has a standard USB plug at the other end so that fits the bill

I wonder if perhaps it never had a power unit (unusual for me to lose it) and may be it only ever charged from my desktop?

That's a standard USB. Called the "c" type.

Can power relativity high loads, and is becoming a defacto standard charger interface as a result. Even Apple are using it.

The other week I bought a cordless shrub trimmer from Lidl that only came with a USB C lead and no charger. Maybe they assume there are so many USB charging options they don't need to supply mains charger any more ?

A heads up for those with Lidl Parkside tools with USB C connectors, whilst some of them may be able to charge from any 5v USB supply not all of them will.

I have the Dremel Parkside copy and it has a USB C socket and charger but it is a 12v tool! The supplied charger with a 12v output could easily destroy a lot of portable electronics.

That's the idea, less waste, gone are the days where everything has a different proprietary charger. And a good thing too.

I have a metal clad socket with twin inbuilt USB in my garage for charging stuff like this.

As Above, it would be perfectly easy to connect the 12V charger that came with my Parkside mini-drill in to the 4V soldering iron, and I'm guessing that would not work well.

I like the Parkside kit, but seems like some care is needed when setting up charging arrangements.
