Confused about bottle sizes

Please can somebody tell me how many litres a 50 kg bottle holds as I have a CO2 pub gas bottle and can't find it written on anywhere.
Also the Bottle I've got came from a company which has now gone bust so I'll not get my deposit back but it's an Energas bottle if I go with them will I need to set an account up and leave another deposit even though I already have a bottle(the bottle is still in date).

CO2 is sold by weight. So 50kg is, umm 50kg

1 kg of liquid = about 505.8 liters

505.8 * 50 = 25,290 liters.

At 10 LPM thats 25290/10 or 2529 minutes or 421 hours of use

That is a big bottle. Mine is only 13.6kg of liquid and has lasted me years.

I think you have it wrong - 1kg of water is 1 litre 1kg of co2 is = 0.9860L

That is 1kg of CO2 liquid, not gas.

Why did you state

Is that at any given temperature, it's very warm here at the moment am I therefore getting more gas for my money ?

You'll get more volume but the same mass at the nozzle.

You'll get the same volume and the same mass in the bottle, but more pressure.

Thats more than answered my Question(I think), Thanks Shenion I didn't know CO2 was sold by Weight. Does anyone know of any suppiers around the Leeds or Castleford area I'm fairly desperate as the MOT is due on my Landrover Discovery next Month and anyone whos own a 15year old Disco will known it int gunna be a couple of days welding.
