Conduit threading die lubcrication

Today used my new conduit threading kit to make new pipework for an outside light. First thread was done dry and difficult so for the rest applied some low fat marg ! (hate the tastless stuff and grease not handy ). Marg made a massive difference so realise some sort of lubricant is required.
Tallow not an option as I'm a strict vegi and it turns my stomach.
So what is the best option, for me, to use as a lubricant when cutting conduit threads ?

BTW Very satisfying doing a new "technique" for the first time

Assuming you're not gonna use a cutting solution like rocol then I would suggest coconut oil. There seems to be nowt else that stuff can't do! Never used it for the job but texture wise it 'feels' right.

Rocol RDT paste, or if you can track down some trefolex they are both good.

I made some tallow in 2010, I used a little bit at the time and still have an ice cream tub of it.
I used some a few weeks ago, it's still completely clean[barr the charred bits from digging the wooden paddles in it]
with no smell at all. I would have had no idea what it was made form if I hadn't rendered it myself.

I accept humans eat animals and there are byproducts however I'm uncomfortable using them, so other than leather shoes (which there are very few alternatives), I consciously avoid. I don't preach to others and my wife is a carnivore but I've been a vegi since birth - 58 years.
Basically I'm a fussy old so & so

whenever i have done any thing like that i have just grabed the nearest oil can and squirted a bit on

Rocol RDT, Comes as a paste in tins or a semi-liquid in a squeezy bottle is my metal cutting lubricant of choice. Used it for more years than I care to remember, never had a problem

As above, Rocol is my favourite, but pretty much any oil or even grease will work as a cutting lube for the odd job.
