Concrete breaker for driving metposts??

I'm considering using drive in metposts for a low level fence.
I haven't hammered them in before but previous occupant left the driver plug.

It occurred to me ( partly as excuse for new tool) that an impact drill might drive them in a more controlled way.
I have the heavy titan sds drill but a heavy breaker might have more chance.

Anyone tried it? Guess could test with the titan. ( should have bought the £80 aldi breaker they had a while back)

Make a pilot with a 5' crowbar as plumb as possible. They knock in like a dream with a sledge hammer then.

Is that what the OP is trying to drive ?

Thats what I do for stock fencing posts. Then use a rammer or mel depending on where I am. Unless theres a few then is tractor with a knocker.

Ive only used those metpost bases a few times and if you hit anything with out a pre hole they just bend. I found an off cut of fence post in the base helped when using a sledge hammer.
