Computer Room?

At the minute my desk top pc is in the home office, so it's too easy to browse the internet when i need to be working, and do work when i shouldnt be!
Should hopefully get moved into the new unit within the next couple of weeks, so the office will be shifted giving me a spare room in the house. We also have a laptop that we've started using the internet on - saves me sitting upstairs all night, and her sitting downstairs!

Got me thinking, what does everyone else do their surfin? Are you the sociable type with a laptop on your knee, locked away in a room, or, like my mate, sits under the stairs

We discussed where to put the PC, I was not sure about under the stairs.
Came home from work and she had torn out the wall under the stair case making a tidy alcove with space to sit in, a kind corridoor office thingy. I built a corner table to install the computer. Tidy.

means we are in touch and not shut away from each other.

My preferred surfing location was the kitchen , convenient for making of the brew !!
However , since some inconsiderate troglodytes moved in next door they have made it an unbearable place to be due to the racket they create. So , I've moved my IT into a spare bedroom. As I'm single in a 3 bed house I have 2 spare bedrooms !! Don't like to surf in the lounge as there is a conflict of interests when the TV is on the go !!

I have a lap-top perched on the arm of the couch; there`s also an older PC, sulking on it`s own upstairs....If I had t`internet in the workshop: nothing would ever get done!

'Computer Room' with my PC, the server, and her Laptop, each have our own desks, there's a sofa and TV in here too. Pretty much an upstairs living room!

Downstairs living room is PC-free, laptop/sofa surfing on occassions.

Ahh, the joy of not having any kids taking up rooms in the house! :P

I've got a networked PC in the workshop, great for music, online forums and manuals, drawings etc.

Desktop under the stairs in the lounge so I can multitask by being on here and watching TV at the same time.
Laptop for more multitasking, on here, keeping SWMBO happy by yessing and noing appropriately when she's talking horsey blah blah, TV and eating/drinking/general merriment.
iPod touch for multitasking when nature calls as I don't tend to read much.

2 desktops in spare bedroom (XP & Linux) I usually use and a desktop in lounge which Mrs Robo normally uses, all wireless networked. A couple of laptops for "mobile" use.

My desktop is upstairs in the bedroom.
I really don't surf alot when mr Sparks is at home tho...he doesn't like being ignored....i still have to work on my yessing and noing appropriately....

I'm still to the point where i mumble stuff like: uhuh...myeah...Than he gets annoyed says something like: turn the darn thing off!

I'm in the lounge - 42" plasma! on my reclining armchair with cordless mouse and keyboard.
mrs seriesonewelder is on the sofa with her laptop (wireless), usually giggling away at one of the books she reads online, so we are together but doing our own thing.

I have my main PC (Linux box) in the front room, an old laptop working as a file server and downloading BitTorrents (that's on 24/7), my missus's PC in the front room (my workshop/tool store) and two laptops. I also browse on my phone when having a dump.

Generally tend to sit on the big PC while she uses her laptop on sofa...she hates me spending too long on the internet though!
