Compressor motor?

Anyone know where I can buy a 2.2kw electric motor 240v for my compressor? Boxing day last year,3ft of flood swept through my workshop,and it's caused damage to the motor.

Hello Superbad,

Machine mart is one company, and something like Motors direct is another. However, strip the motor and put the stator in your oven (120 C for two or three hours) and try again, it could be OK? Obviously check the bearings and replace if necessary, they are not expensive.

Loads on Ebay. Make sure you get the correct shaft size, and that you can set the direction of rotation.

Not them as much as it buddy,and i want £65 but your location might kill the deal for you.

If you are buying a new motor the Italian motors are decent quality and well priced. If you go for a Chinese motor buy the next size up as their horses are smaller than normal and the HP/KW rating isn't accurate!

I've used these guys in Doncaster, good support. The TEC motors are chinese but well supported in the UK. Mine is a 4hp which is used daily.
