I need to put together a compressor and some years ago I gave my father in-law an old petrol driven compressor. Its in good working condition. I've taken a few pics. Its got a huge half horse electric motor. The old boy worked for British Rail and this was an old motor, according to him although it was only half a horse, because of the over engineered build quality it would not have a problem. And sure enough it would blast away for hours without overheating.
A couple of questions,
There are no markings on the compressor so I wonder if anyone recognises it and can give me an idea of the cfm. You can see a label on the side but this only takls about the type of oil that should be used.
I'm thinking of using the motor, compressor and oil filter and building onto a bigger tank, could I get away with using an old butane tank?
Obviously an electric pressure regulator, any suggestions for this?
If so what other gear would I need?
Any advice appreciated
