The pipe shouldn't fill with water anyway, it would get blown along with the airflow.

Even if it fills the pipe completely at the end it will still get blown out.

If possible you should arrange the pipe so it slopes down away from the compressor.

At this time of year the biggest problem would be the water in the pipe freezing and the pipe becoming blocked by ice. This has happened to me a few times.

I'll effectively be running the pipe down hill overground and reeling the pipe in after use every day purging the pipe of any water on the way. Sounds good yes

I'll have to the farmer I'm renting off wouldn't have the best eyesight. I could find it wrapped around the wheel of a tractor or the donkey will eat it etc... I'm too fat anyways a bit of pipe pullin won't do me any harm

looking at malcolm's post, i presume its fine to use copper pipe for airlines then ? i will do that myself but wasn't sure wether the pipe was ok for 150 psi

I use 15 & 22 mm copper pipe & capillary fittings at 10 bar - so far so good!

no probs here with it niether mines been on the comp 30 years. the pipe is half inch from the pump to the tank with soft soldered fitting on it .:it gets verry hot but not a problem

I am the opposite. Last week the spotlight/tripod flood light decided to cook my airline when I incidently drag it pass the glass.

Oh, Sorry to hijack this thread, I run my 40 ft 3/8" id coil hose from compressor to my air gun/grinder/chisel etc. The regulator is at the compressor end. I always wondering what the pressure drop is? I set the regulator at 110psi just to compensate the loss. And before you ask, I only got one regulator/pressure gauge, so I cannot measure at this end.

Is 110psi the right guess?
