Positive results every time. Be persistent if you need to. They will get sick of hearing from you.
In fairness Tesco are one of the best for sorting stuff out through there complaining system. I've moaned at them a few times and there has always been a few goodies and a voucher through the door of a decent value to compensate. Barclays is another. They left me high and dry one day when they decided to cancel my debit card in the middle of Jordon.
I was livid and made my feelings very clear. It doesn't excuse the fact they left me up the creek but they did dump £300 compensation into my acc when I explained my situation and told them I was going to close all my accounts lol.
Some do ignore you but Persistence is key. If you don't complain then they will continue to mess up.

Can't answer the silver line question as I refuse to buy it but if something I do buy or a service I use isn't up to scratch I'm not one for letting it go. We don't earn our money easily so we should get what we want when we part with it. If people are happy throwing new tools away that's fine but I'd be taking it back for cash.How come people go to the bother of complaining to tesco about a carrot being a bit off colour, yet silverline is still trading?

We ordered an item online. When it didn't turn up we tried to go to their website, but it had disappeared. We filled in an online form for a PayPal refund. It was sorted in a week.
