I only put the video on to see what it was about and ended up watching the whole hour! Lovely bit of old film - if only to see all the old cars!

I loved the rant at about 18:30 about the 'slow' and 'fast' lanes and then they pulled over the idiot middle lane hogger! Same problems are still rife today!

Lovely to see all of those old Range Rovers working hard too!

Did you spot the escort bike blow up ? (down the mall I think).

Somewhere on the web, a guy involved either with the run itself, or working out the same station, tells the tale of the sounds being dubbed on afterwards, and the surprise of the guy carrying the cooler being grabbed by a couple of porters and rushed to the theatre where the op was in progress, rather than simply handing it over.

Back in the day when it was just a case of get people in the ambulance if needed and clear the road asap while traffic was still passing.

None of this closing the entire motorway all day to do a detailed survey of every piece of debri for the compensation claims....

I remember it well, I was on the edge of my seat watching it and when it was repeated I was again on the edge of me seat and when I watched it online many years after I was again on the edge of my seat despite knowing the outcome!

And by coincidence I’m parked above junction 22 of the M62 tonight, just up by the big telecoms mast at the side of the Pennine Way, on the borders of God’s Country and Lancashire. Spent many a peaceful night up in winter here when the temperature’s been well below -10 overnight .

I remember working beside a copper who was a few weeks from retirement. He would regale me with stories of how they would take out motorbike thieves and joy riders by sitting on the window sill of the car chasing the biker with his truncheon in his hand and when his partner got him close enough he would bonk them on the back of the helmet if they were wearing one. Nowadays HQ radios for them to stand down and let them get away for fear of collateral damage. Changed days!

I know it's the scum but police policy changed last year.
Seems 5 officers are paying the price.
