Not forgetting the gear it connects to in the t/box. The out put shaft on my gearbox only had about 1mm of spline left, if I'd of got it stuck it would have stripped it for sure

A farmer friend of mine stripped the splines on his 90
I welded the gear to the main shaft with a MMA welder through the PTO hole
Earth on the shaft to protect the bearings
This makes the gear box / transfer box in to one unit
A very rough and ready fix but the vehicle would have been scrap due to the cost of the repair
It is still towing trailers daily
