Common 7/32 bolt sizes?

I need to have a plain stud of about 5.5mm o/d sticking out of a block of metal.

Simple way would be to tap a 5.5mm thread into the block, wind a shanked bolt in then chop the head off.

I don't have any 5.5mm bolts.
7/32" is close enough for my requirements,
Are there any common shanked bolts in that size?

7/32” BSF dies are available so presumably bolts that size are available

1 BA has a theoretical O/D of 5.3mm, should be available easily enough

How long?

12-UNC or UNF is also very close to 5.5mm major dia.

5.5mm dia. silver steel (£4.19 per metre from Zoro). Drill and tap one end M3.5 (electrical socket size). Drill and tap block of metal same. M3.5 studding created by cutting head off socket screw to join the two. Loctite.

No rolled fastener measures its actual stated diameter.

It's just for some alignment pins on a jig.
The holes that sit over the pins are 5.6mm so something just under that will be good. I don't want much space as alignment needs to be decent.

I might have a look for a 7/32 die and run it down a bit of bar. Otherwise I could just drill the holes to 5.5 and glue a bit of bar in there but it would be good to have something easily replaced if (when) it gets damaged.

I have got a M5.5 tap and die (don't know why?) but it's only 0.5mm pitch which might be a bit fine as its going into alloy.

My chart has that as standard M5.5 fine (non-preferred size). Standard, non-preferred M5.5 coarse is 0.9mm pitch if that helps.
