Colour match paint?

I need a rattle can of paint, colour matched as I have no idea what the paint code is or even if one exists.

Is it possible to get a semi decent match out of a spray can these days? Doesn't need to be perfect just close enough

Go to a body shop and they have a ‘magic eye’ they can use to get the match. They use them to get the right colour on paint that’s been out in the sun for a while. A few biscuits will get you the code you can then take to a paint factors who will make you a rattle can. If it’s a big paint factors that supply trade they may even have the magic eye thingy

Most paint suppliers will have the ability to scan something and match to that. If you near Swindon or bristol try car paint warehouse as they can colour match

The "magic eye" is a spectrophotometer. Where in Yorkshire are you Kayos? There are a couple of paint shops that have them you may pay for the privilege. Theres a good little shop in Castleford I use. Just go with a sample and he will get out the colour swatches for you to go through. Then pick one and he will mix the paint either in aerosol or tin.

Im in East Yorkshire but regularly travel to Sheffield. What's the shop in Castleford called?

It's a little back street garage but I've used him for years and the paint is always spot on.

Spray centre near Progessive Safety/Makro/Costco in Sheffield, they will match paint and put it in rattle cans, but it's not cheap.

They will however match paint by RAL numbers
