Collet query

I am looking at buying a collet to secure a blast nozzle inside the blast pipe. Below is the link

will this be hollow all the way through as i cant tell from the picture?

These collets are drawn in by a drawbar, and will have an internal thread to pull the collet closed, which is standard practise on a milling machine for which these collets are intended.

what diam are you wanting to hold???--- woodworking router machine collets are 1/4 3/8 1/2 and metric equivalants. All tend to fit into the same size female part of the collet housing.

Mine don't seal, hose ID is too big otherwise I would just use a jubilee clip

Looks nearly twice the size, it just folds over the nozzle instead of clamping it. Probably 15mm.

almost identical to some of the router bit collets, but they only compress down onto -in this case10mm- router or milling bit and secure the bit up into the collet housing-- if your hose is 15mm OD you need the 15mm collet, but will it compress the hose onto a 10mm shank?what about this style?

or can you not use a 15mm plumbing compression fitting??-- possibly putting a cut in the compression ring to realy allow it to compress the hose onto the nozzle.

I cant realy see how the above collett will compress the rubber down onto and seal it to the nozzle?

Those clamps look like they could be just the ticket, thank you kindly.

I don't know if I'm misreading you or vice versa but the collet was to go around the nozzle and inside the hose with clips clamping the hose onto the collet

to drop from 15mm down to the nozzle size u could do with a sleeve making a good press fit on the nozzle and slip it in to the hose with jubily clip . dont u know anyone with a lathe its a simple enough job

get a 15mm flexipipe and cut a piece out for the sleeve there the exact fit on to a 3mm carbide jet and 15mm on the outside so just a jubily clip required
