Calling @Kram dont suppose you know of any decent pairs of collect blocks. Square and hexagonal.
I was hoping to find pairs of then on Amazon over the jubillee sales lol

Er32 is the size I need.

I can mill flats but threads are high on my list of things to learn. Not don yet..lol

Stevenson's ER32 Collet Blocks - Arc Euro Trade

Square and hexagonal ER32 collet blocks. Accurately ground faces on all 4/6 sides. Accurately ground back face so the blocks may be used standing upright.

John Stevenson worked with Arceurotrade to source theirs and make sure the QC was up to scratch.

Mine are quite frankly excellent, and far better than some of the poor ones people have had from eBay, Ali express and Amazon.

I think it's £45 a set plus the nut. Which really, for something accurate to about 0.02mm is not a lot of money.

I am.just a cheapskate, especially now I have lost the contract that was going to cover my energy increase.

Blimey could you imagine. The material would probably set you back £40. Then turning and milling, then hardening, then grinding. A good toolmaker would probably spend 15 hours making them. I'm sure they're probably CNC turned and maybe milled all on one VMC, but still. The taper and the faces are all ground on mine and that takes time.
