Thx toecutter!! i am so enjoying my course 2. I just want a career r a job in welding, I'm not happy working on a mail machine all day, i want to see what i'v done at the end of the day and say that i'v done that!! I hope 2 any way! good luck with ur course 2!!

Hi hitch!! I'm not quite sure yet what it is that i want 2 do in welding. I want 2 try something simple at first but i guess it all depends what is out there and if anyone will eventually take me on, IF i pass this course. I mean how does a woman get her self recognised in the welding industry with out flashing not just a welding gun LOL!!! I want 2 pass this course i am determined, and eventually get work. Do u have any ideas that will help me??

Just work hard, show them you can weld as good as any man! And learn where and from who you can...
I've worked very hard to get where i am now, i'm one of the best welders of our plant, and the only thing i flash is my torch...

It's not going to be easy, you will have to prove yourself all the time! But it's worth it!

i love your advise sparky thanks! u mean well but you are honest, i respect that the most thanks! i just hope i will get a good job at the end of it all, i'm not to bothered about what wage i get just yet but i want job satisfaction. it was nice to hear from you sparky!

I went to a burglary the other day at a National Waterways maintenance building in the Black Country. The staff there maintain the canals, locks etc. I was amazed (sorry) when I discovered that the welder was a woman aged about fifty. She did an apprenticeship and everything. I spent an hour chatting to her about all things welding before filling in my crime report. So it can be done ladies!
