So in work we have this big Colchester Mascot that we use for doing anything massive!
It's a fantastic machine but it has issues namely with the oil. It has had oil leak problems for as long as I can remember, this got to the point off undoing the inlet pipe and manually filling the machine everytime we needed to use it, having not the spare time to sort it out. Eventually I took the sump out and cleaned it all out, got new hoses and put it all back together. BUT! The oil seemed to be really watery, took it apart again and found loads of holes in the sump where the suds sits
Welded the holes shut and tiger sealed it. Put it back together, worked for a couple of weeks then watery and sudsy again! So we bought a new hydraulic tank and mounted that behind the machine. This seems to be working really well but it still needs oil putting in manually down the lift pipe? I can't figure out why as there is plenty of oil in the tank and it is raised higher than the original so I doubt the pump is struggling?
I know it's a bit vague.. but has anyone got any ideas why the oil seems to need priming every time?
Cheers
