Cobel wiring diagram

brought cobel mig 200
in a word(s**t) when it arrived the settings worked on only 4 of the 8 ,cobel wont reply to any questions,utter waste of money,,,unless anyone of you chaps has a wiring diagram for this model,,have sourced a new switch from elsware,
heres hoping

The four settings that work, are they consecutive switch positions? E.g 1,2,3,4 work, 5,6,7,8 don't? Or is it say 1,3,4,6 work, 2,5,7,8 don't?
The first case would tend to point towards a transformer with part of the primary open-circuit; the second case, more like a burned-out switch.

The wires from the switch, I presume they go into a large transformer? If so are they all in one group or two? If in two that would suggest a dual-primary transformer. If one group, a single-primary transformer... in which case consecutive settings are more likely to fail as one broken winding will affect all subsequent taps.
