CO2 Large Bottle capacity

I had a look but couldn't find anything about the capacity of Co2 bottles.

What does a 22Kg bottle hold and a 44kg botlle? Is it exactly double? I am interested in getting either a small pub gas bottle or the next size up. I am playing about with welding at the moment and not looking for perfection yet so thats the reason for going with CO2 pub gas for now. Oh and how long can I expect each bottle to last (approx)?

CO2 is sold as a liquid, so by weight.

1 cubic meter of CO2 weights 1.98kgm (at 1 bar)

So figure all liquid turns to gas:

22kg * 1.98 is 44.6 cubic meters of gas
1 cubic meter = 1000 liters
44.6 * 1000 = 44,600 liters

10/liters/min is 4460 minutes of welding.

4460/60 = 74 hours of welding.

44kg would be 148 hours of welding.

I have a 30lb (13.7Kg) CO2 bottle and have been using it at 25% mix for two years. Still feels just as heavy.

The figures came from the BOC web site - I wasn't sure if it was the cylinder capacity or the total weight of the cylinder.
