I came by an advert today from a supplier of C02. The advert reads Large C02 gas bottles for mig welders, no bottle deposit, no rent £20.

I phoned up out of curiosity and the woman there explained that they supply bottles to the pub trade etc. She also confirmed that the bottle size is 14lb. I think she means 14 Kilos, as I have weighed an empty bottle of this (pub) size and they are 14 Kilos when empty and 20 kilos when full of C02.
She went on to explain that the location is a place called Shuttleworth near Chesterfield, Derbys. If you go there, do ensure that you do NOT get a bottle with a white stripe down it, as I understand these contain nitrogen with the C02 for crème flow beers. Hope this is of some help to someone.
