Clutches

I've got a clutch mounted on a shaft which pulls in and out of drive with a lever, there's a series of spring plates that pull up when you engage it.
Used in line shafting and pulleys etc
The shaft is 1" dia

Anyone seen one before?
What are they called?

Do you mean a multi-plate clutch like used on motorbikes?

Yeah I think so, although I've never worked on a bike clutch.
Can these be bought as a separate assembly?

Multiplate clutch, what machine is it off? May help with finding somewhere for bits

I bought it with some stuff for an old belt driven lathe. Don't think that's where it originated.

Has it fibre plates or cork type?

Neither, thin steel discs with 3 tabs which line up and pull up together when engaged

Ah ok, well throw up a photo, chances are they will be standard bike parts somewhere down the line
