yeah there was talk that all the tool manufacturers were going to bring out the same format...it doesnt seem to have come to pass but there is such similarities between most to make you think there was something in it.I have their opposites.The Wickes batteries fit well enough to be used, eerily similar in the dimensions of the retaining mechanism and contacts......

I think a quick trim with a dremel on the length of one of the slides would have these batteries sliding all the way in. Bosch, Fein etc. have recently announced a cross platform system. It'll only be certain brands, though.
