Cleaning of welding jigs

I am looking for advice on cleaning several welding jigs (yes, I do know about wire brushes) by soaking in chemical to help remove splatter and smoke. We don't the resources to sit and scrub and scrape. I was thinking our cold-rolled steel jigs could soak in sulfuric acid 15:1 and then remove, wire brush, and pressure wash/rinse.
Thoughts anybody?

How you didn't spray them over with anti spatter first, would have saved you a heap of trouble.

If these are production jigs, they still get a buildup.
For spatter, a quick scrape will be good.
