cleaning bath (chip fryer) LOL

The missus treated herself to a deep fat fryer and chucked out the old one.
it found it's way into the work shop (I know sad man).
Got some cleaner from flea bay. Can i get a unit to fit to this to turn it into a sonic cleaner.
I do spend a lot of time cleaning stuff it would be good to just drop it in and come back later and it's done.This is a pair of carbs before and after so it does work with minimal time spent on it. but it would be good to make it better.

But your cleaner didn't do all the fittings on the carb as well ie springs,bolts,valves by the looks of the thing or did you not put these in the tank?

That is genius heated cleaning fluid with the part being constantly moved, i've used the dishwasher before but I never thought about a fryer.

Dunno how good those cheap cleaning baths are? but ebay sell em for £24 cheapest,suppose you could take the gubbins out of it and transfer to the deep fryer as the cheap baths are only shallow.

What was the cleaner type called that you got from ebay? It is good that you showed the before and after photos. Good job there mate.

The ultrasonic cleaners that you can buy from aldi are good and mine was about £19 and presumably similar to the ones you've seen on ebay. The problem I can see is that they are quite small and while you can increase the volume a bit by using a 2ltr milk carton I wouldn't think they'd be powerful enough to work effectively in a fryer.

Danielw sorry i may have been a little to the point with my last reply to you.
This was just an experiment the fryer was there and i thought of a use so i tried it ok yes room for improvement it is usually the mk3 that works for me LOL
I have a blast cab it's fantastic but on carbs well SU's i don't like to use it as it may upset the piston and cover and cause it to not slide as nice as it should.

I use a deep fat fryer with truck wash, with mucho added caustic.
Amazingly the hardcoated ali pan doesn't get damaged by the boiling caustic.
I put con rods and other steel parts in it, a good boil in
caustic and they com out looking like new.

I bought a non working 5L ultrasonic cleaner on ebay for a quid,
it was easy to mend and I use it for cleaning push bike parts.
I don't think it has enough power though. There is a you tube video
from a place that makes them, they draw a line on a ceramic disk
with a pencil, hang it in the cleaner instantly the pencil lines starts to
break up. If I did that I woudln't be surprises if I had to give it a second
20 min blast.
