Cleaning a fuel filter

surely afford one of these cost you more in fuel to wash the old one

That wont fit the car though...the filter is fitted with ford fuel lines either side and stupid clips to hold the pipes on

Well...that seemed to work...took it off, drained it out and blasted some air through it backwards...loads of black crap came out...

Petrol or diesel ? usually I find diesel's catch more crap in their filters.
