Claw fittings

Due to the general concensus of opinion on here I have upgraded my compressor hoses to 13mm id. Apologies for my ignorance on this, but can someone explain claw couplings. There doesn't appear to be male & female as in smaller couplings

Yes just one shape fits either end. There are no integral valves or restrictions so give a better flow rate. hose must be de-pressurised to separate the connectors as the joint locks under pressure.
Only variations are the 'other end', hose barb, male or female threads.

i use half inch claws on my small pot and 3 quarter on the larger one and use a ball valve shut off i also use euro fittings and plc depending on what tools im using

Hi, I thought they were a universal size. I will need them for my 13mm ID set up.

the couplings are a standard size. i should have said i use couplings with half inch and 3 quarter inch tails on them for both pipe sizes
