I normally go with my brother but not this year. A combination of things that clash.

I agree with the pricing structures as well. It costs more to get in on the Saturday and Sunday than it does for a flight from Alicante to Birmingham.

Ticket discount code, I believe it applies a discount of £4 per ticket on any day.

For comparison, I’m just back from a 3 day classic car race event in Portugal.
£45 for a 3 day vip ticket including paddock pass and premium vantage points, no crowds so very chilled atmosphere, a pint of ok beer in a cememorative plastic glass for £5.50, free parking … and sunburn weather most of the time.

Edit: location was the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão (the same circuit held the Portuguese F1 rounds about 4 years ago)

I think there is still an exemption in the UK to drive a lorry and trailer like that on a standard car licence. Classified as a mobile exhibition unit

Can't disagree really.

Stopped going to the NEC over 20 years ago, it was a horrible rip-off then.
Used to go to Stoneleigh Restoration Show but the pre-war jumble just died away.
