classic car show at NEC

I'd be interested in what you thought, long way to the NEC and its far from cheap, ...and I can't remember the last event I've been to that has taken more than 2 hours to walk round

I think the National wedding show is all you will find if you went this Friday! and all weekend (The Horror!)

Me and my bro always go on a sunday. (to the Classic car show, NOT the national wedding show) Get there at 9 and leave at 4:30. Too much to see in one day. But we know what we like by now.

I went last year, I will give it a miss this year.
Too many static displays for me, I prefer driving action or autojumbles. Even better a classic race or hill climb with an autojumble on site!

Before the kids came along we used to go to quite a few of the outdoor ones like the Classic Car and American shows at Tatton Park, the Custom show at Doncaster, and the big Yank show in I think Nottingham.

Kids are older now so started looking at going to shows again. Wow - can't believe the prices. Thought of going to the one at the Trafford Centre exhibition centre, but it was about £16. Glad I didn't go as it got quite mixed reviews. I enjoy the autojumble and seeing the cars, but can't justify spending so much for what amounts to, as Shox said, a couple of hours.

Do a local search for car cruises in your area, usually held in a Burger King parking area, lots of different stuff turns up.

Well thats the good thing about it being at the NEC. ITS bloody massive! so there is room for something for everyone. Plenty of large auto jumble and tool areas, as well as tools being shown working etc. If thats what floats your boat .

My brother for instance prefers the motor bike hall. Me, I like it all
