Hi guys,
As the title says really, I have took the torch off my old clarke 105 and put it on my Sealey Mightymig 130. The reason being the sealey torch is missing its trigger and has a leak on the gas valve. Both of these machines have been lying around my workshop for the last god knows how long never getting used due to me using my Rand 280. I have a car to weld up today and needed to use something more portable than my Rand as it weighs a ton and not very moveable!
I have connected the obvious wires and liner from the Clarke torch to the Sealey but now I have a live torch, dont get me wrong, it welds fine when the trigger is pressed but if the wire catches earth when trying to position the gun then BAM! flash! sore eyes!
What have I done wrong?
the Sealey torch innards do differ slightly as far as i can see, but nothing too major, the main difference being the trigger switch assembly.
If any help I will try to post up some pics later today to paint a more clearer picture of it all.
No doubt it will be something very simple and me not being able to see the wood for the trees as the saying goes!
Any help greatly appreciated
Mike
