Clarke Shh Air 7/100

I have a Clarke Shh Air 7/100 and the start relay has gone, the motor is fine as I tested it with a relay off another motor.

It has 3 motors on the compressor.

Machine Mart want almost £60 for the start relay and overload protector!

Where can I obtain 2 new relays from? I do not have any information on what I need.

Please help.

Fridges and freezers have the same setup. The local dumpit site may be able to help out.

Great, it's a Clarke Shhh 7/100. It has 3 motors on the top.

Can you see a manufacturer's name on the actual pump units, most likely Zanussi.

There is a sticker on the motor about the specs, but it has Clarke at the top of the sticker, no mention of a different manufacturer.

That company may have a UK outlet.

I'm not sure how to test the capacitors or the overloaders???? Help??

Is it two relays that have failed or just one, have you a sparky mate with a capacitor tester that can check them out for you.

I have found a compressor company who are going to supply me with 2 new relays, they are about £7 plus VAT. Thats more like it.

They have also told me how to check the other parts with a mulitmeter.

So with a bit of luck, it will be back up and running before long with minimal costs.

That's good news. I was going to suggest you contact Clarke's spares dept directly, in my experience they are much cheaper than MM.
