What fluid can I use in these pump driven washers? I guess it's water based only - is there anything with some real oomph that I can safely use?

Our at work runs kerosene or paraffin.

I got some of the prediluted stuff from MM when I got mind a few years back...useless tbh. Theres a few threads on here about what fluid to use, aswell as whats been said in this thread ive seen TFR mentioned.

I've bought an ebay equivalent of the Clarke parts washer, and use Jizer in it. However before I modified it, you'd need about 20-25 litres of the stuff in the tank before the pump would draw. I've now modified it to use a 12v diesel pump, run off a battery and it works fine with just 5 litres in the tank.

Had Parts washers for 20 years....White spirit is the way forward

you cant put anything funky in them as the pump has a plastic impeller which melts.

Paraffin has the edge in that it's not quite as combustible in liquid form. They both work to a similar degree on general greasy crap, so there's little, if any, difference on that front.

I use kerosene without any problem.
