Clarke Mig151 TE V Sealey Supermig 150

I want to learn MIG welding for the repair and restoration of my growing Morris Minor collection

I have narrowed it down to these two choices.

Clarke Mig151 TE Or Sealey Supermig 150

Any help or advice much appreciated.

The Sealey seems a decent enough machine but personally I would choose the Clarke although I doubt there would be much to argue about over which is best.

I think Malcolm should approach them for a percentage of the sales the forum has generated?

Yes, they do seem to get good feedback. Any ideas on the best place to buy it? I have seen a new one on ebay for £316.

Cheapest is Machine Mart with a VAT free voucher, the members on here often give theirs away when they arrive.

Not sure I would buy from ebay, there probably is a couple of decent sellers but a lot are box shifters who don't want to know a few months down the line if a problem arises.

Ok, thats a very good point. Then, I must ask the begging question....Does anyone have a Vat voucher they are willing to give a very nice but not so rich Morris minor owner?.

You can have mine if one arrives and the members do pass them around willingly...just a case of who get's them.

It's hit and miss, some people get them on a regular basis, others every 6 months or so, I used to get them monthly...been a bit rare lately though.

I would start a new post requesting one, it will stand out more for other members to see.
