Clarke industrial hoover.

Afternoon guys.been a while since I have posted hear.am back due to once again a loss of job.but my question is.are the Clarke range of industrial hoovers OK for workshop cleaning. Metal dust ect.I can sweep the floor but kicks up a right mess.

I use an old dyson vac dc01 with it being a vortex type its got good pick up and no bags either with it the filters are washable and there cheap enough to replace often

I have an old (15 years or more) Hoover aquamaster which keeps on running. I know it needs emptying when it starts getting heavy to lift I still use the bags and the filter needs lots of banging at the bin so make sure you stand upwind when you do it

I use a Lidl 'special' - wet & dry, but I've never tried the wet-vac function.

Picks up all I need it to, but I don't have a huge area to cope with.

I have a Clarke vac, it's about the mid sized wet and dry with the stainless body. I use it for picking up swarf or just vacuuming the floor or cleaning out the van, works well. Just don't try to vac up big bundles of acetal swarf or you'll block the pipe and have to hook it out.

OK cool.that's the machine is was looking at but the large one.it's mainly of metal dust from grinding ect..

Vax 121, Numatic Henry or Hetty.

Used all of the above with and without bags in them, no issues with any of them to be honest. Think the most I spent was £5 for the Vax, complete with all tools and the shampoo attachments..

Just get one of the £40 or so jobbies which you can find at the likes of Wickes, (their vacuum is quite a decent one, but has a small capacity), B&Q else online. That's all mine have ever been, and they vacuum up no end of stuff. It's usually the bearings which fail when they eventually let go.

i use the vax cylinder in the garage.

even use one for a dust/chip extractor for power tools.
