Hi all,
(Sorry this is following on from a thread elsewhere but as that was in "buying a welder" I thought I continue this here instead - mods feel free to advise)
So I've bought an old Clarke 155T the other day. Wire feed works fine, fan works fine etc. I can also get a spark but only briefly, then the wire welds itself to somewhere in the tip/neck.
Disassembled the torch and found a few things I'm not sure of - see photos below.
First what I assume is the liner has broken off just at the copper valve block, I don't suppose this is how it should be?
Also, the swan neck seems to be just "held" against the copper valve block by the torch plastic housing - no screw thread or solid connection there whatsoever. Is this how it should be? Seems to me this wouldn't provide a solid gas flow connection to the tip??
I suppose I need a new liner at least, but do I also need to do something about this swan neck/switch block business?
I'm also confused as to which torch this is, and so exactly what spares to look for...?
I had assumed Hobby MIG, but it looks more like this? So is this a Euro 15 torch? Is it the 160T/TE/TM spares I need? How is the swan neck connected to the valve?
Thanks very much for the advice!
Jeroen
