Clarke 151TE Nozzle Blockage

Hi there,

I'm currently having problems with my 151. Recently a copper tip sheared off and attempt was made to drill it out and clean up the threads. However the tips would now only go half the way in, I thought I could just use it for now and I spacered out the sheath accordingly. However I've been having problems with welding as the filler wire is just coming out in blobs, not consistently before all of this. It was attaching to the sheath a lot more as well. Well it messed up another copper tip the other night so I really want this sorted. Is it worth getting it cleaned up again, or should I just replace it with this...

FWIW mine did similar the other day, tip broke off flush. I drilled it out and re-tapped the thread and all is OK. Maybe the remaining broke bit in yours is dragging the wire?
That swan neck looks different to mine, mine's a 151TE but red gun, a few yrs old so maybe they've changed 'em.

Yeah mine's a red gun also, I saw that it stated a black gun, but on the machinemart product page it's a related item for a 151 TE... see the bottom left corner of that page.

I think it is for all models except the 151TE. Have a word with Weldequip
