Hi, For some reason my Clarke 151EN has fryed the little black tube that guides the wire from the spool to the rollers, I need a new one can anyone help.

The little black tube is approx 60mm long and 4mm dia.

PM weldequip. What you want is called a liner. He can probably do you a more rugged than stock one, if you like.

No it is not the liner as that goes from the rollers to the torch, it is more like a guide tube to the rollers.

I've just killed my old clarke and there may be one on there Can't remeber. Will have a look when i get home and let you know!

Otherwise you might get away with unscrewing yours and turning it upside down so the wire runs in an unworn part. That's what I did with mine.

Though it tends to be rusty wire that causes that part to wear through. That will have worn the liner to the torch too. I'd invest in a torch service kit (mention you need that bit too). Transformed my welder when I changed the liner.

Hi,

I looked at a WD40 tube, much too narrow, sorry.

However while installing a Mondeo tailgate and connecting up the cables and rear screen washer, I noticed that the pipe on the washer is almost exactly the right dimesions and 'stiffness' to do the job. The front washer pipe is problaby the same stuff.

I have about 10" spare here, come off the tailgate from the scrapyard. If you want to try it and you can't get to the scrapyard then send me a PM with your address and I'll post it to you.
