clarke 150 en etc cover

Hi folks has anyone modified the access cover by fitting hinges it irritates me fiddling with the standard cover, is it worth the modification ?

Not sure how the cover goes on the 150 but one member had the cover open on his welder (which must lift up and act/look like a shark type fin if you know what I mean) he then bent down for something and caught his head on the cover as i was edge on....... ouch.

Once you've got it runing okay, you wont be under the cover much.....

Sorry for delay in reply, I decided to take the plunge and rivit two small hinges I found with all my junk to the cover, it needed bit of cutting of the case and a small catch fron Rajani's to secure it (99p). now I can keep spare tips/cutters and other bits and small pieces inside the case without getting lost. The original cover had to be removed from the machine and was fiddley to replace. I wish I had made the mod years ago.
