Clarke 135TE - Wire Feeds, Fan Blows, but no light on front and no sparking!

Hopefully the title says it all - Any help appreciated. Got the welder some time ago so won't be warranty - has worked fine until now. Welded a little yesterday and now today it made a birdsnest and the light doesn't come on.
The two things may not be directly related - as I tried it anyway thinking the light might have 'blown' So that might have caused the wire prob. I've fixed the wire and it feeds fine.

So Motor ok, Wire ok, Gas ok, Fan ok - Thoughts anyone ???

hi,maybe theres a prob with the earth cable!!or the clamp.let us know when you fix it.

Thanks....I have managed to get it working, but not sure how. Pretty sure the earth was ok - although I ought to change the croc for a proper clamp I guess. I had a look in the electric side and at the PCB all looked fine no burnt bits etc. Called Clarke who thought it might be the thermocouple/thermostat - so I took it off gave it a shake and it rattled - not sure if it is supposed to do that - put it all back together and it worked! shall see what happens next time !!
