Clarke 135TE MIG Welder.

Don't know whether I've posted this in the right section but here goes..........Ive just bought a clarke 135TE unit.Now,nowhere in the literature does it say anything about welding without gas.Can I use it without gas or is it optional?.I know I should get better results using gas but just wondered if it was necessary when doing car panel/bodywork?.FELIXX.

No, it can't use flux-cored wire. It is a gas-only machine. The EN series are the gas plus gasless ones.

I've moved this to the Clarke section.

The 135TE is a gas-only machine as there is no provision to reverse the polarity. You could try gasless wire but the results may not be too good.
