Clarke 100EN Turbo wire feed

On my 100EN I have had trouble with the wire fee, whereby the wire (.8mm) slips off the roller and ceases the feed properly.
Having had a closer look it appears that the top clamp, when put in place comes down in a slight Arc rather than straight down so the top wheel is slightly off and the wire moves.

I removed the top clamp and it looks like the plastic stud that clamp pivots on has a slight upwards curve to it (hope that makes sense)

Is this a common issue? Should the clamp come down straight or in a slight arc?
I will get a picture at the weekend to explain better.

Straight I would say. If its pushing off to one side, it'll track the wire across the roller. At a guess, the plastic has probably worn around the pin, has it been well used?

It most likely been well used. When it welds and setup right, its sounds nice.
Looks like a new roller thingy. unless I can straighten it out a bit...

The top & bottom rollers should be parallel.

Take the wire out and drop the top roller onto the bottom one without any tension in the spring and then with a torch & mirror look to see if there is any light getting through along the line where the rollers touch. If there is more light at one end of this line than the other then the rollers aren't parallel.
