clarke 100e question

hi all had my clarke welder a couple of weeks and getting on great with it, one question is even on full power i i only need the wire feed at around 4 to get the best weld???
any ideas

Probably about right for 0.8 mm wire. Would be higher for 0.6mm wire.

sounds about right to me, i've never had my clarke over 5
