hi have probs with me welder changed the gear box wire feeder but still not working it is just clicking and light is still on amber does this mean i have a perm over load fault how can i fix this thanks, need to weld my car cheers

if the thermal protection light is stuck on it sound like the thermal sensor is stuck open circuit and you would need to check with a multimeter or once disconnected from the wiring even a battery and bulb if it is dead you should replace it but you can bypass it if you get desparate to use it

thanks for the reply can you tell me where it is on the circuit board have got a multi meter,and how do i bypass it,do weld equip sell these cheers snooper

its not on the board it should be on the transformer 2 very thin wires compared to the rest of them but dont confuse them with the 240v feed it should be a closed circuit once you find it. if it is at fault just connect the 2 wires together (not transformer side)
