Clarke 100E mk2

Hi,
I've been offered a Clarke 100E for £90. Not sure if that's a good price or if this is a good machine. All the results I can find on here are about problems or issues with them.

I currently have a Sureweld monomig 101 that is struggling with 2mm and over. Was wondering if this would be better as it seems to have a better range?

Any advice would be great!

yeah that's about the limit for them though (or 3mm with joint preparation) I was using a clarke pro mig 90 for 15 years. they also have a low minimum current so are useful for car bodywork etc. they are capable hobby machines, but not in the league of professional machines. not sure about the price, and that would also depend on anything else it comes with.

Thanks for the reply. It sounds like it's a definite upgrade from the one I currently have! It comes with a couple of spools of wire, but not sure how old they are. Not my strongest skill but might try and haggle a bit
