One of my "roundtuits" I really need to sort out is a new shed / workshop
I've already cut, new, scaffolding poles to make an 8' x 10' skeleton frame with KeeKlamp fitting for the joints.
Saddle clamps will then be used to attach a mixture of 3" x 2" wood battens and Unistrut (for door and window openings) to the poles for fixing of the outer cladding.
The mental debate I have is what to clad the outer shell. Due to being in a prominent / visible position from road & pavement it needs to be something that looks decent. Profiled metal sheeting is therefore already ruled out.
So far I've thought of the following -
Attach cement board then add Tyrolean coating.
Use new scaffolding boards (plenty that aren't suitable of actual scaffolding about on Facebook Market Place and eBay) - maybe in a "log cabin" style for corners. Obviously the boards would have to be machined to provide tongue and groove.
Lastly denailed pallet timber for a rustic effect
Unsure how to weather proof though as too big a job machining T & G such a large amount of short lengths. One idea is clad in galv sheet then drill holes so the pallet lengths could be attached from the rear.
Any other suggestion or opinions / comments more than welcome.
Cheers
