Circular saw blade grinder

I picked up one of these blade grinder sharpeners about a week ago, as I had beeten my blades up a bit over time and I didnt fancy buying new blades. 139 quid on the auction site. It is Simple to setup and set the angles, I sharpened 8 blades last Saturday in about and hour brought them back like new. I still intend to make a jig for the grinder I built but at the moment dont have the time. Its a bit glitsy looking but does the job.

£140 seems a bit, but when you consider some blades are £30 or more a throw, the break even isn't far off.

And, if it works, the nice thing is, you end up re sharpening the blade, rather than trying to squeeze the last bit of life out of it.

Same device is a ton on AliExpress if youre feeling lucky?

Might get it for £100. Might get hit for £18 processing, then £24 vat, plus whatever duty they can think up (plus vat on the duty, which always strikes me as madness!)

cos,
a lot of my blades have a 3 tooth set up......left, right and a third straight, chipper clearing tooth I call it....
be nice if it could do the lot.......
have a box full of blades that need sharpening......
I was stuck and needed my 100 tooth (305mm dia) chop saw blade resharpened...which cost more than a new blade.....
will always ask for a quote first.....dohhhhh....

Bought a cheap 40 quid one and does the job well. Grinds both left and right rake.
Tend to do multiples at the same time rather than swapping rake each blade and cuts odds together.

Mark & sharpen every alternate tooth correctly then reset and do the unmarked ones if there is sufficient adjustment

That what I did save a bit of time there is plenty of adjustment, I also did a few blades on the same setting

Yes Frank it does alternative angles I have a cold cut saw Pedroazzoli Brown cold cut saw I am hoping to have a go at soon that will be my best test as like you say dam exspensive to buy and exspensive to get sharpened I will let you know how it goes if I get chance over the weekend.
One other thing max blade size is 700mm which ample for my blades.

Hi Frank not sure if you got one of thes sharpeners yet but I can confirm it will sharpen the cold cut saw blades I have just sharpened my 315mm 200 tooth blade, it makes hell of a difference to the saw.

hotchef them evo blade are TCT tooth blades so you only need a diamond wheel which these machines come with so I think one can asume you can sharpen them. I have sharpened all my TCT wood cutting blasde I asume similar type probably just a different angle

oh yeh i need one then! save me a fortune i can do my table saw my circular saw and my mitre saw blades too then, is it time consuming?

Handy looking bit of kit I wish I never read about . Its a bit like my chipper blade grinder, I can sharpen them in less time than it would take to wrap them up for the courier, won’t take long to pay for itself.
