Cigweld Opinion

Greetings all. I'm just comming into the mig scene, been wanting one for a while and now i got the money, i got the need.
Got some autopanel and manifolds that need bashing.

Been surfing about for a few weeks and im considering on a particular mig.

also a seperate handpiece with correct liner ect for aluminium.

was wondering if anyone has an opinion on this particular mig, or Cigweld in general?

Also, as an aside, is there any special features i should look out for in regards to auto-tinting helmets?

Use the search for cigweld. A few have them here. They seem very similar to the Clarke welders.

As far as auto helmets. Look for a response time of 1/25,000 sec (40us), adjustable sensitivity and delay. Response time of 1/10,000 is ok. Stay away form the cheap ones with slower response times. A camera flash is on the order of 1/10,000 a sec, so you will get flashed every time.

Remember inexpensive masks won't be rated for overhead welding as it has a plastic shell.

Yeah go for it, reasonably good machine, great price
Get a Cigweld auto helmet as well, Arcmaster not Weldskill though
