Cigweld 180 wire feed

Cig weld 180 brumby.
Wire feed motor has stopped working. Was working fine, gave the machine a long overdue blow out now no wire feed. All other aspects seem to be fine. Still arked, fan, switching from trigger just no feed motor. Any help would be appreciated.

I suspect you have blown the pilot light out.

There is not much in the manual that will help but you could check the board and see if there is voltage applied to the motor when you pull the trigger. That will (might) tell you if its the board or the motor.

Thank you all for your reply’s.
I have checked for the third time today and there’s nothing lose or un attached. I’ve also tested the wire feed motor with a separate power supply and it works. It arks and the trigger engages the machine. I believe it’s the circuit board as everything else seems to work.
I can’t see any obvious issues with the board but what would I know. Anyone know how I might get access to a replacement?

You have pulled plugs on boards I expect and checked for corrosion

It is not very likely that just cleaning a machine would break the PCB, but if there are no other obvious connection or wiring faults, then it is worth checking the board closely.
Disconnect the three white plugs, and as 500e suggested, check the pin sockets internally for corrosion. Unclip the board from the plastic mounting pins. In case the airline blow-out has dislodged some conductive debris, clean both sides of the board with a brush and solvent. Then using a bright light and a magnifier, check for fractured component leads and faulty solder joints. Re-assemble and test the machine.
The next step would be to measure and check the wirefeed circuit at component level. Unfortunately, the diagram in the manual that I attached above does not exactly apply to your machine. For example, in the diagram one of the 3 plugs on the PCB has 6 pins, but on your board they are all 4-pin.
I would suggest a couple of checks:
- for each position of the rotary power selector switch, measure the DC voltage between the tip of the MIG torch and the work clamp. Expect about 15 to 30 volts.
- locate and check the overtemperature cut-off switches. There may be two, typically clipped or glued to the transformer and the fins of the rectifier. They will have two thin wires, and should be a short-circuit when cold.

I am not aware of a source for a new board. This earlier thread has a photo of a Cigweld PCB which is similar, but not identical:
