I have some wood pre shaped inc necks apart from 2 .

Thought that was a STD I made an oilcan uke but it's not the best sounding thing It was absorbing to do though and passed a while on. Some better quality machine heads would have made a difference I think but not to the sound.

I've been out in the cold and got a picture of my uke. I made the neck out of an old table top and the fret wire came from eBay. A website provided the fret spacings for the length of neck and the machine heads came from China. Strings were from Amazon and I reckon all the lot was less than £10 and it was a fun project over a few weeks because of the wait for parts.

Although I can play the Uke (after a fashion) I've never tried making one of those ...

no .a little bit smaller about a 12"/14" long and about 8 or 9" wide and 1.1/2" approx because I've not measured them
these wood were for kitchen tops but solid teak wood.
I was going to make 3 or 4 strings guitars but lost interest.
so selling them for £100 5 necks & 5 bodies.
in the picture is one that I've made a few years ago for myself from olive wood.

I have been building them for about 6 years, it is a bit of an affliction & once you get into it you keep finding boxes & tins all over the place! The shed has about 5 half built ones & then it leads to other stuff like a 19th century Cello that i found in a skip, then there are the hurdy gurdies, I have started with the entry level Nerdy gurdy's but am really wanting to build a fine quality one.
I try & play the Cbg every day.
