One for the electrickery wizards out there. I've got an 14" Evolution chop saw which I use in the garage. Everytime I pull the trigger it pops the mcb. The sticker on it says it's 1800 watt and the mcb is rated at 16 amps. I've tried it with everything else in the garage switched of and unplugged and it still happens. Anyway, I ran an extension lead from the house and it works fine on that. So I was thinking that there was something wrong with the mcb. I talked to the landlord about it and he said it might be an earth problem with the saw. I then took the kettle into the garage which is 2500 watt and that worked fine, so there is possibly a problem with the saw. What do I need to start looking at? I've had the switch cover of and there are no obvious loose connections etc.
