Going to build a bit of a cupboard for tools in the corner of the garage so they are not on show everytime the kids go in their with their mates to get stuff out. It will use the garage walls as 2 sides, then i will build a stud wall for the other 2 with a doorway in the shortside. Its approx 2.7m x 1.6m when finished. I want some fairly chunky walls so i can screw stuff to the long outside face.
Just looking at price of 12mm ply and 12mm osb and thought 18mm moisture resistant chipboard flooring might be an alternative. Its cheaper than the others.
Garage is a pretty dry place, dont ever find moisture on the metal shelves etc.
Would this be strong enough to fix some shelves to (brackets would line up with the studs at 600mm centres of course) ?
Good idea or bin it and spend the extra on ply ?
